Created by Allied Health Professionals, Beats Medical have designed the Beats Medical Dyspraxia App for children aged 5-14 years with Dyspraxia or Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD).
The Beats Medical Dyspraxia App is an innovative home therapy tool for speech, gross and fine motor/hand skill development. The app is versatile and entertaining to keep your child engaged in these important functional activities.
In general, it can be difficult for a child to receive daily in-clinic treatments from allied-health professionals. The Beats Medical Dyspraxia App is not intended to replace specialist care, but to augment it with game and therapies delivered at home through an app.
The therapy-based exercise app is aimed at improving your child’s independence through tackling task orientated functional activities, relevant to their daily life.
Blast across a galaxy of interactive therapies:
Exercises for Fine Motor Skills such as handwriting, hand coordination, accuracy, fine hand opposition and upper limb control by completing missions in the following:
- Around the Moon
- Space Race
- Shooting Stars
- Milky Way Match
- Galactic Navigator
- Crater Tilt
Exercises for Gross Motor Skills such as physical strength, spatial awareness, balance and coordination by completing space cadet training in the following:
Space cadet activity cards
The cards are designed to be fun for siblings and friends who can incorporate imaginative topics to keep your child interested and inspired in physical activity. The activities can be used under the guidance of parents, teachers or allied health professionals.
Navigate your way through exercises in Speech and Communication which help practice tone, pace, breathing, volume control and overall quality of speech.

Your Beats Medical Dyspraxia App subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can go to your iTunes Account settings to manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew.
This application integrates with the Health App to use HealthKit data in the delivery of personalized treatments.
