Spammy push notification, collects too much personal data

I’ve been using this app since it was called LifeCake. The app itself is great, but a few weeks ago it started spamming me with lame push notifications, even though I only have favorites enabled in the notification preferences. Also, the amount of personal data this app collects is alarming. Please explain or reduce!

Zo duur😑

€4,5 per maand? Als ik deze app wil houden tot mijn kind 10 is, kost me dat €540.
Dat zet ik dan liever op zijn spaarrekening.
Wel heel jammer want ik vond de lifecake app echt super! Ik zou er zeker iets voor willen betalen, maar dit is me wat veel.

Terrible

We tried to transition from Lifecake but it immediately tried to charge Us for a subscription, even if we did not want to add Photos ourselves but just watch my sisters pics. Nog We cannot just watch pictures of our nephews anymore unless we take a subscription. We moved to FamilyAlbum and are much happier with that one. Terrible fail from Lifecake/BackThen

Difficult onboarding

Migration from lifecake, the previous product, was a real pain.
I’m younger than 30, so I can imagine this creates even more stress for grandparents trying to follow the lives of their offspring in the middle of Covid19 quarantine.
Also, reading about parents that aren’t allowed to transfer their original paid subscription tells me a thing or two about the makers of this app.

Exactly as Lifecake

We were disappointed about the transition because we had just renewed our yearly subscription. We hope that this problem will be handled correctly.
Anyways the app is just like Lifecake, which we love. Our whole family likes it.
Looking forward to new features though!
