We've had all this time at home, yet we have barely harnessed the powers of meditation. Ah well, that's ok. It's been yet another tough year. In the meantime, we'll stick to watching masters of chi defeat superhuman opponents.
We do, however, have lots of chi-cken for you to order on GrabFood. Any day you want, done in many ways. Perhaps you'd like some with chi-eese? Or Korean style with kim-chi?

GrabPay Standalone App

Grab has an all-in-one feature-rich app that provide its users a lot of convenience and an amazing UX.
One of those feature is GrabPay which should have its own standalone app.
This feature on Grab App has a smooth and neat UI so GrabPay having its own app would be awesome.
GrabPay being integrated within Grab App makes a wonderful user experience. But, it also limits GrabPay potential to be a great app itself.
It is fast and secure enough to compete and leave other mobile payment platforms behind.
Grab App’s ‘location based’ and ‘being a transport app’ nature were the examples that limits GrabPay to its full potential.
The ability to use GrabPay irregardless on locations where Grab service is unavailable would provide the most convenience to its users.
With Grab Platform’s speed, reliability and top notch security it can make GrabPay standalone app great as well.
Looking forward to have that GrabPay standalone app soon.
P.S. and the GrabPay physical debit card in the Philippines.

Life saver

I’ve used this app in Bangkok and Phnom Penh and it has been very useful to go around. Priced is determined before ride and the driver knows where they are going. In Phnom Penh it also works with rickshaws. Saves me a lot of haggling and ripoffs. Clear design and functionality. Thanks.

Excellent app, only location service could be better

The app works very well and I am really satisfied with it now, that I know I have to pay attention to the location of the pick-up point. When you take a ride somewhere and be in that neighborhood for a while and then you want to take another ride, almost always the system gives as puck-up point your former drop-off point, which is quite often not accurate. So now I always check the pick-up location and if necessary I correct it on the map. So no more drivers that cannot locate me.... But as I said excellent service!

Safe, quick and reliable

+ suggested pick-up locations
+ it’s just the best way in most (Azian) cities to get from A to B. Knowing the price and driver details add to your comfort and safety as opposed to normal taxis.
- interface from Google Maps to Grab: prices and locations shown tend to differ a lot
- app doesn’t save your last-used locations (for example to quickly find back your hotel on a city-trip
- the different languages used in the app. Although I use English, it still gives messages and/or extra info (about cars) in local language. It’s not straightforward to surf to Grab’s website to immediately see the English translation.

Zeer handig, en goed economisch.

Grab word meestal gebruikt door de locals, maar het is ook ideaal voor de toerist, of iedereen die een van de landen bezoekt waar Grab actief is. Het is heel gemakkelijk, veilig, en je steunt de locale economie. Zeker is, dat je nooit wordt afgezet. De prijs is op voorrand bepaald. En de gebruikers doen er alles aan om een goede revieuw te krijgen. Dus goede services gegarandeerd.

Great app and service!

I love to use Grab in Cambodia. Always reliable and super easy to use when connected to your credit card. Giving a tip was never so easy! And you always keep a record of your history incl. details of the driver in case of an issue. Perfect customer support as well. LOVE IT!

Too much going on

Why can they not keep things simple? This app has too many ads, options and complexities. Adding a credit card is a search mission. It does what it should do, but they should have learned from Uber. Less is more.

Spam sandwich - Like a psychotic ex you can never get away from anymore - ever!

I loved the functionality of the Uber app where I called an Uber and it arrived without any fuss. The goal is simple enough right?
As soon as Grab came it has been all about drawing the user to their app all the time. Hint: you’re not Facebook! We have no business being on your Grab app all the time!
I use Grab once every few weeks at most, yet each day I get an endless barrage of notifications of totally unrelated and uninteresting offers. And there’s no way to opt out of them!!!! I signed up to Grab, not Crap.
Even every single action take within the app (such as actually ordering a ride) is met with advertising cues for food, or transport services or worse. We’re already there, willing to spend, you don’t need a pop-over before an action. You can keep it for it there is no action.
Grab has become like a psychotic ex-gf that you can never get away from. Ever!
Yes, I can turn off notification. That will also prevent me from knowing when my ride arrives. So that’s what they want. Either don’t use it or accept all their 96% Crap that they send along with Grab.
I’ll give it two more weeks. If there is no clear opt-out policy out of all of those unrelated notification. Grab will find its way in the trash can and I’ll never ever use the app or anything related to the brand again.

Essential

Change from Uber to Grab app is horrible

Just had to change from Uber to Grab in Singapore - the Grab app is dreadful, not user friendly at all. Compared to Uber, I never have a ride the first time I request one. It’s not simple to Sms the driver and if we send our son alone in the cab we cannot be sure that the app will be tracking the car and route correctly. There are surcharges at every ride - at least, with Uber we knew how much we were paying upfront. This is a step backward
Update may18 - design slightly better but still cannot get any taxi in the morning compared to Uber - same time every day.... all the drivers disappeared. Thankfully there is still Comfort

You'll never grab a car with this app

I gave it several try : it is ok to grab a taxi (but not often useful because all you have to do here is raise your hand to grab a cab) but never did I get a car : D1, D2, with a 20.000 vnd tip offered... So yes, the announced rate is faaaaaar less expensive than a taxi or even uber, but if you can't get a driver, it's just a ribbon on an empty box.
