If you've been a follower of mine for just about any length of time, you know that 'The 4 Hour Work Week' is a favorite book of mine. It is one of two books that I re-read every single year.
This book holds a special place in my heart since it played such a huge role in getting my first online business started and introduced me to the wonderful concept of working less.
Even though this book generated a lot of hype when it first came out and has established itself as a go-to resource for business, we need to address the elephant in the room. It has been 14 long years since this book came out and the world has changed dramatically from the way it was in 2007.
Is the 4-hour workweek outdated? Is it still worth reading and can it still actually help you in your online business journey? Or is it speaking to a narrative that no longer exists and therefore should be left on the shelf? Well, that's the question we'll be answering today...

Right on time !

I got "victim" of a reorg few weeks ago, and decided to start as freelancer. I gave your podcast a go, as I know you from The Recording Revolution. And bam ! First podcast I listened to was the one on selflessness in business. I kid you not : I listened to it while I was on the road, driving to meet my first customer :)
It made me think about what I really wanted, if I was in just to cash in big bugs, or if I was really in freelancing to serve customers. I'm not selling online courses yet, but that's one of my next business move.
I like your slow pace, how deep you go into the topics, some philosophical themes, the verses you quote, ... !
