The wilderness of Florida has historically been one of the most
challenging hunting environments in North America. Having forged traditional bowhunting skills since the time of the Seminole Indians and those of the Thompson brothers, as told in “The Witchery of Archery”, Florida has produced some of the most skilled bowhunters and trad friendships in our history. One of these friendships is that of Don Davis and Flip Pallot.
This week we are blessed to have Don join Alan Altizer in a discussion on the Florida wilds and his close friendship with a man most consider to be a legend in the fly fishing and traditional bowhunting worlds, but Don called him his friend. Don and Alan cover hunting and the wildness of Florida, which provides a better insight into the friendship that grew between Don and Flip. If you didn’t already know, you will after this discussion, “Flip Pallot was a very special man”.
