Most new technology products have a sustainability aspect attached to them. This is happening because we have very strict environmental regulations in many countries. Engineers now have to show regulators the environmental impact their products will have before they can get certified.

This push for sustainability has also led to more investments in products such as drones and electric cars that reduce emissions. For instance, drones’ small carbon footprint makes them the perfect replacement for fossil fuel-reliant trucks in delivering packages. However, there is a need for a clear regulatory framework to manage their operations in populated areas.
