A cultural icon throughout the seventies and eighties, Nazario uses his stories to mock conventional sexual morals, especially through his memorable contributions and covers for El Víbora, a periodical that captured daily life, gritty bars with dusty decor, and the eclectic crowd gathered under the crumpled palm trees of Plaza Real.
