Story Transcript:

He: "תל אביב. המטרופולין המורכב, הנמיך לים, הלם את לבו של אברהם כאילו תמיד היה בכך. תמר, אשתו, תפסה את ידו חזק. שם, במרכז הנמל העתיק, דלפק של עץ מעורב שחורה מובלט הוקדש רק לחומוס. אצלם, היימישיו, הם מכינים את החומוס עם טחינה; תל אביב הופיע כהפתעה חמה והוצאה לפועל שלהם.

En: Tel Aviv. The complex metropolis, nestled by the sea, struck Abraham's heart as if it had always been that way. Tamar, his wife, held his hand tightly. There, in the center of the ancient port, stood a counter made of dark-stained mixed wood dedicated solely to hummus. At their establishment, Hai Maisio, they prepared the hummus with tahini; Tel Aviv appeared as a warm surprise and realization of their own.

En: Yael, one of their daughters, insisted on bringing the family to a family gathering where everyone argued about the best way to prepare hummus. Despite the family's egalitarian approach to hummus-making over the past twenty years, Yael had a different perspective.
