Rod and Karen are the best thing I've discovered since I recently started listening to podcasts. They are funny as hell, sharp and they tackle topics in a profound way. I've learned a lot while listening, I love their honesty and the obvious love and respect they have for eachother, their listeners and their community. Living while black in Europe (Belgium) the conversations between Rod and Karen often influence my writing and my views on things that happen in the world. I also love their recurring games and the rap-intro.

Rod and Karen are the cool ass friends we all want to have. I have been travelling for a year and my 5 times a week TBGWT fix has kept me sane from the fishing village in Brazil to the beaches in Croatia. It's given voice to my anger, pain and joy at the struggle black people face worldwide and has been a lifeline to home. You are seriously missing it out if you don't listen to this podcast.
