We've come to the end of the series - this will be the last episode of our story. I'd like to spend this episode addressing some of the big questions that the series raised:
First, was unification inevitable?
Second, was the incorporation of Southern Italy into the new Italian state a result of conquest or unification?
And third, what was the legacy of the three men we focused on: Cavour, Garibaldi, and Mazzini?
Then I'll wrap up with a few closing remarks and say goodbye.

Informative and well delivered.

Although it wasn't a topic I was that interested in the podcasters have succeeded in pulling me in from the start.
They're great at situating the unification both in time and space:
-The first few episodes give you a fast but informative overview of the major events leading up to the unification. In contrast to other podcasts they succeed in making it a part of the larger story instead of just summing up a list of events.
-They also make sure to help make you a mental map of the area without which it would be hard to visualize where everything is without consulting a map.
I would recommend it to anyone who has an interest in history.

Brilliant podcast

The topic is fascinating, delivery is both scholarly and accessible. Even if you know nothing about Italy this is one worth getting into.
