In for a ride
Cam and Ray (my favourite car companions) bring along some interesting passengers, some of them more willing then others.
For instance, they bring along Marius and Sulla, giving you more insights in why pulling a Sulla is a funny thing.
I remember a guy J.C.: huge balls, likes circumventions, loves building stuff (and breaking them down).
I'm not still sure whether J.C. stands for Jezus Christ or Julius Caesar. Anyway, we learn from some primary bird sources he gets to be a god.
After J.C. they bring along a threesome. Not much love between them, three is a crowd.
Mark and Lepi get kicked out the car by the Augy. No matter, still a lot of parties (some daughter he has), a lot of marriages, a bit of deflowering here and there, ... anyway the good times, always making haste slowly. Being a son of a god, I don't think he was already a god himself. He's always calling some nice willing Agrippa guy to solve his problems, one of them being Sexy P.
All good rides come to an end eventually. Agrippa becomes a ghost, Augy does better, he becomes a god.
After Augy, we give a ride to Tiby. Nice guy, friendly, good manners, so we drive him to his nice house (he wanted to dbac a bit). Very quiet and peaceful, birds whistling, babies suckling, some young man in a stable just coming behind him (all dropping dead).
Out of that stable, we pick up Caligula. He's an actor and we give him a lift to his set. He was making a nature movie with a lot of nymphs, some sister loving and bush crawling.
Cam and Ray, thank you for making such a fantastic podcast, I learned a lot of it.
Problem is that it's not always the history part that sticks to mind :-)
Last remark, never forget to feed Barry and Stan...
Next stop, A Cold War
