Some ok analysis, but miss the X’s & O’s talk
The MMQB does a good job in offering a fair variety of shows throughout the week, but the product has been watered down some this year.
I especially like the Weak Side Podcast on Wednesday because of the great chemistry between Jenny Vrentas and Connor Orr. Albert Breer has some good insight into the business behind the NFL (e.g. coaching changes) and I love how Gary Gramling can recap a game.
Recently though the MMQB has slipped a bit in my personal rankings, since there isn’t anyone left that can really talk in depth about football schemes and plays. When Andy Benoit was laid off, the MMQB lost their “X’s and O’s” analyst. I now have to turn to other podcasts for that, which is a real shame and now the MMQB isn’t my first podcast of the week anymore.
Ok content, will listen and enjoy, but not the first choice anymore.
